Sending Common App to multiple colleges

<p>I am applying to 3 colleges using the Common Application. However, for my essay, I have to edit it for each individual school.</p>

<p>I just tried to send the Common Application to school no. 1 and it said that after I send it, I won't be able to edit my application but WILL be able to send it to other schools.</p>

<p>I know I can't edit the application for the specific school AFTER it is sent but can I edit the application before sending it to the other schools?</p>

<p>Iv always wondered why people dont read the page that first pops up when you register for the thing. You can copy the app, edit it, and send it to different colleges.</p>
