For those deferred EA, are we allowed to retake SATs on the January 28th test day and send those scores in as updates? It seems kinda unfair to the RD since the last test date for RD was December, but I know a couple people doing it...

you're always best off calling the admissions office and finding out yourself

Does anyone know how many people deferred each year are admitted RD?

Letter says 10%. Not too encouraging.

is anyone sending an extra recommendation letter even though the letter said they were "rarely helpful?"

so anyone taking the SAT or SAT II's again in Jan?

I believe taking the SAT test in January is fine.. it's not that it's a disadvantage to those who did regular, but it's more of an advantage for those who applied EARLY and got deferred

If that made any sense..then great :P

But anyways, it should be fine to take it again.

No it's not. Jan is too late for RD applicants; i emailed them a while ago about this. I'm guessing it will be the same for deferred applicants

No, its not too late. EA deferreds can mail an optional update form by March 1st, so taking the January test date is fine. I guess it's just a perk for EA deferreds over RD applicants.

^ Agreed. Deferred > RD applicants, that's why we have the update form in the first place.
