i took two ACT tests. the composite score was the same. however!! some parts were better than others. sooo if i send both scores, will they pick the better part score like they do with the SAT and put together a better composite score? i don't kno if i'm explaining it all that well... but. yea. would it be beneficial to send both like the SAT?

if it depends on school... well. i was thinking stanford university

Actually, Stanford requires that scores be sent for ALL SAT and ACT tests that were taken. Someone in admissions said that the preferred test score could be sent officially and if the others were on the high school transcript, they could be viewed from there by Stanford admissions and the student wouldn’t have to pay the extra fees to have each test score officially sent.

Some schools “superscore” SAT and/or ACT (combine best scores of each section), but many do not. Still, by your explanation, it might very well be beneficial to send both scores to schools.

You have to check the school’s policy - some - not that many - require ALL test scores to be sent. For example, Stanford requests all scores. You can usually find this out on the school’s website, or on the ACT or SAT websites.

wait. i just thought of this, but how would the school know if you sent in all the test scores of the tests that you took? they may tell you to send ALL of them, but they wouldn’t know for sure that you took more tests than the amount that you said you did… right??

They may or may not ever find out. But if they do they could rescind your acceptance just like if you lied about something on the app. Why have that hanging over your head?
