Does Stanford look at EVERY SAT/ACT score?

So I'm not sure, do you have to send all your SAT/ACT scores to Stanford or just the one you wish? Also is it SAT or ACT or do people send both?

You cannot use score choice. You must send all of your SAT Reasoning test scores OR all of your ACT plus writing scores. However, since your SAT Subject Test scores are recommended but not required, you can pick and choose whichever subject test scores you want to send. You don’t have to send both ACT and SAT scores.

So if you’ve taken the ACT plus writing three times, you have to submit all three scores? How do they know if you have or not?

You have to submit all three ACT scores. However, their website states that if it would present a “financial hardship” to officially send all three scores, you could send your highest composite and self-report the others.

It also seems to be the consensus on here that colleges are not able to find out if you have not sent all your score reports. However, if your school puts test scores on the transcripts then that would be a way for the college to find out you were lying by hiding some test scores. I recommend to follow their policy, because if they somehow find out you’ve lied, your admission may be rescinded.

To add onto Apoc314’s post, sending all the scores probably will be a benefit than a vice. Improvement is a good sign, so unless your score is declining, have no fear!

Honestly, run on the practice of karma. If you get caught, even AFTER admissions is over, you WILL get rescinded. Happens at least once a year in the Ivy Leagues (this year a sophomore at Harvard was caught under-reporting SAT/ACT scores, last year was Yale, etc.).
