Hi, So I know collegeboard gives 4 free score reports to the colleges of my choosing but what about ACTS?

Also, Is it wise to send all of my scores in? Below are my scores, I am especially unsure about the subject tests since those aren't that great and I'm not sure what I want to major in.

For ACTS I got a 23 and then a 26. I heard only out of state colleges care about these? And do ACT offer free score sending?

The schools I'm thinking about sending my scores to are the Cal States and University of Cal. Along with two private colleges, Azusa Pacific and St. Mary's. If you know how the process of sending those scores in work, please do tell.

You have no free score sends for either the SAT or ACT. Each allows four. However, to use a free send you must designate the college as one to automatically receive scores as part of your application for the test and that designation must be made by no later than about a week before the the particular test score comes out. You forfeit your free sends if you do not designate as required before the score comes out. Since you have all your scores, you must now pay a fee to send to any college.

When you order a send of the SAT, College Board will automatically send all SAT and SAT II scores it has on file for you unless you specifically choose not to send a test score by unchecking that test when the prompt on line comes up when you order scores. Thus, you can send all scores to one college for one fee but you must pay a fee per college. ACT is worse. It sends only one score per fee to one college. Thus if you want to send two ACT tests to a college you must make two orders and pay two fees.

For the ones you list, you should likely just send all the SAT and SAT II scores but only the 26 ACT score. The UCs are the only ones that will look at the SAT IIs and they recommend them so it is likely better to send than to withhold. The others do not use SAT IIs at all in the admission decision so sending them will neither help nor hurt. The colleges will determine which score, SAT or ACT, they believe is better for you and use it. Also, ACT is readily accepted by all colleges including those in California. In fact, your Cal Poly’s actually prefer it over SATs.

okay i guess I’ll be sending in my ACT 26. I took the SATS on saturday also, so do I have 4 free still? Since the cores haven’t came out yet. Should I send UC’s the ACT score?
