Should I send SAT scores now to the schools I'm planning to apply to or wait until after I have applied? Also, does it even matter if I send scores since I write them on my application?

Each individual school varies. Some schools will not require you to send scores if they are on your OFFICIAL HS transcript, while others want them sent directly from the company that makes the test (e.g College Board). You can save some $$ by checking carefully with the schools you're interested in & seeing their requirements.

i think its stupid that i need the college board to send the colleges my scores when they are on the transcript.....

Bump

Can anyone explain this:

If the college does require you to send the official sat score, and I'm sending my application lets say sept 25th, when should I send the score?

Should I send the scores the same time I send my application, or a couple weeks before?

Question: I am taking the NEW SAT I again in October. When I registered online, I chose to send my score directly to Stanford. Do I need to send it again? I have taken other tests.

If so, how do I send it again? Is it through the CB website? Sorry I'm a newb...no one in my family has gone through college in the USA.

Clickandroll....i doesnt matter too much when you send it, but it needs to be in by the deadline....so it better to send it right away so you dont forget....and then again after things change of transcript

Saswombat..... if you chose to send scores to Stanford....you dont need to send it again..... they will get your scores the same way as if you sent then after you took the test
