Hey! I've already taken the SAT and ACT once as a Junior, but I have yet to send my scores to any school. I still want to try each test one more time, so I'll be taking the October SAT/ACT tests and opting to automatically send my scores to UNC for the Early Admissions deadline (Oct 15.) My question is, will I have to also send in my previous scores separately, or will all my scores be sent automatically? I'm wondering because I realize that by applying Early Action, I won't have much time, if any at all, to compare scores and decide which I'd like to send.
Thanks!

If UNC is the only issue be aware that despite the Oct 15 EA application deadline, it accepts the October ACT and the October and November SATs for EA. As long as scores get there before the end of November, you are fine.

As to what the testing organizations send, if you designate UNC as a college to receive your SAT test on your October test application, College Board will send the Oct score and all prior SAT scores it has for you to UNC when your Oct score is released unless you exercise score choice and expressly choose to not send a prior score. ACT is different. it sends only the score ordered and every score must be separately ordered to send it. Thus if you designate UNC as an automatic recipient of your Oct ACT test, ACT will send only the Oct score. Your earlier test would need to be sent separately.

That’s pretty much exactly what I hoped would be the case. My March ACT scores were not as high as I would’ve wanted them to be, so it’s good, in a way, that it’ll only send my October scores. Thank you!
