So my sons tests are as follows:
SAT best 1510 w/o superscore (he took twice and did better on both sections on one sitting - other score was a 1490 fyi)
ACT best composite 35 - this will superscore to 36 if school does that, but I have to pay to send his other score (ugh) which was a 34 composite…
SAT subject tests - math2 800, Chem 770, Physics 760
If he’s applying to top scores that only look at one or other, should I only send the ACT if permitted? Also, is it worth paying the extra money to get that extra point on the superscore when the other sections are worse than his 35 sitting (he had a really good reading section on his first take (36), but when he retook it went down to a 34 while everything else went up)?
Also,If a school only requires 2 subject tests, should I only send the 2 best or all 3? - this doesn’t cost any additional money…
For schools that require the subject tests, it’s essentially “free” to send the SAT, but should I when his ACT is so much better…
Just really struggling w/ what to do…and dang, when you add in paying to send AP scores, this can get really expensive if applying to multiple schools. Some of them require ALL scores of everything you took…
