so i just submitted my common app for stanford yesterday and sent my scores literally just now. my counselor told me to only put my best scores in the common app and so, i put 2 subjects test i did well on and an act score. when reading about the the score policy for stanford it said students must self report and send all scores....so now im worried. I sent all of them but did not self report one subject and the main sat. its not like i was caught trying to hide something from them and at the end of the day i did send them an official report. am i in trouble and are my chances to getting into my top choice down the drain? is my best bet to contact my local rep and explain the situation? honestly it was such a simple mistake...

Does hurt to talk with a rep. They review your best when considering your application so my guess is that it should have no impact they probably just want to see your improvement or something. If you put your best scores and correct grades and gpa you should be fine. Entering the wrong grades is were colleges will get picky and may reject your application if it has a strong enough impact. But I would still talk to a rep on the safe side.

Send the admissions office a short email stating as follows (with accurate scores & test dates, obviously):

Please note the following omission from the scores self-reported on my Common Application: SAT 1690 (April 2002) and SAT 2800 (March 1996). Thank you.

That’s all you need to do. You’ll be fine.
