PLEASE HELP! How much will it matter to colleges if my grades drop from mostly As and one or two Bs to mostly Bs and one or two As? I’m applying early decision, so the college will only get to see my grades from the middle of this first trimester of school. My school only offers APs in senior year, so i’m taking 2 out 3, but since these are my first AP classes i didn’t really know how to handle them. Also i’ve taken on a lot of responsibility since i became class president and in other clubs. Basically, how much could my admissions decision be effected by this drop?
@frogs876 pretty sure the rule is for most private schools (since these are the ones who do ED), just don’t let your GPA drop below 3.0. C’s are acceptable at some places. When you get your decision, read over admission guidelines, and see what GPA you need to obtain and the minimum grades to not get rescinded. However, your mid year report is also sent to schools.
even before i’ve applied or been accepted?
@frogs876 After you’ve been accepted, read the conditions for admission and enrollment. Since your midyear report is also sent, make sure your grades first semester senior year are relatively consistent with previous semesters.
