Would getting say all A's in all AP classes during senior year help my chances of getting into UCLA if I'm like on the borderline of accept and reject?

no, they wont see it in time. but even though it wont affect the acceptance decision, it can potentially cause them to revoke your acceptance if your grades are drastically horrible.

not true...they only want to hear of anything below a C-

ok lets get this straight - your senior grades will not matter unless you have any D's or F's or your GPA drops below a 2.0

Your admission is most heavily weighted on sophomore/junior year grades and continued strength of schedule in senior year.

I thought your GPA had to stay above 3.0, not 2.0...

senior year GPA must stay above 3.0 weighted and must not include D's or F's.

UC's ONLY look at sophomore and junior year GPA. senior year GPA is used after admissions to revoke admissions for those who slacked off.

weighted? i thought it was 3.0 UW

aww crap, you're right sorry about that - stupid typo on my part. :(

are you absolutely sure about that?

the senior year grades i mean.

yes...although they do look at ur courseload so thats good

Just your courseload?

wow. i had no idea. so grades really dont matter? (discounting ds and fs)

If you drop below 3.0 you ll have problems for sure. They clearly state that in the admission letter.

If you dont get in...you can always appeal the decision, and with that appeal include your AP scores and grades from your senior year. If they show improvement, and are as you good as you say, you have a good chance fo being reconsidered for admissions.

No, piratemonkey, you have absolutely zero chance of being reconsidered for high senior grades. See the nice bolded statement on this site:
http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/AppealsFr.htm

wow....crazy how someone will say the exact opposite...lol no ofense to u pirate

if getting a c in ap physics senior year will they revoke my admission to say ucsd computer engineering major?

Yah, sorry about that...I guess i was misinformed by a school counselor. Its wierd cause i heard about someone in my high school who appealed her decision of rejection from Stanford, and she sent them her senior grades. She also might have been BSing, but I dunno. And, again, it is Stanford...and we kicked their ass in football. Again, sorry bout the misinformation.

Well, the policies on appealing can change vastly from school to school. Never just assume one school is just the same as another you've heard about.

If you are appealing to UCLA you better have good senior grades in addition to the actual reason of appeal.

"if getting a c in ap physics senior year will they revoke my admission to say ucsd computer engineering major?"

only if you get all C's remember its TOTAL gpa over 3.0 so u can get as many C's as you want so long as your total is above 3.0
