Senior grades weighting gpa

So i started senior year and ik correctly that i will beggin applying into colleges in october. What i wanted to ask is that even if your semester isn’t over and you have certain grades ccurrently in your clasess , does it add weight to your csu gpa ? because in my transcript it says " csu gpa 10 - 12 " ? idk if this question made sense but i hope someone knows what im trying to say

Great Sr grades will do nothing to boost your chances - but poor performance may cost you your seat.

CSUs generally use a simple formula to rank applicants. In that formula, they use a ‘CSU GPA’ which includes just academic classes taken in grades 10 and 11. (Cal Poly Slo includes freshman grades)

But why does it include 10 - 12 in my transcript ?

CSU GPA is based on your 10-11th grades only and you need to use the CSU GPA calculator. Do not use your transcript GPA since each school weights their GPA differently. Several CSU’s will ask for Mid- year Senior transcripts upon acceptance to make sure you are on track to maintain your provisional admission but your senior grades will not contribute to your CSU GPA.

Your application is due in November, before your Fall semester Sr grades are available.

You may be asked for mid year grades in Jan/Feb but, they use your Sr course schedule primarily to be sure you’ve completed the a-g matrix.

Other than your SAT/ACT, your CSU Index is set.
