Hey everyone, what do you guys think of if in 9th and 10th grades you take Honors English with alternating Bs and As.
And in 11th grade take AP English (also alternate A and B semester grades) and pass with a 3 on my AP Exam.
And in 12th grade, you enroll in a regular English class instead of AP Lit.
How's this look from the admissions office point of view? Let's say colleges such as UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC San Diego.

Oh my, I have the same question. Except in my case, I got A’s in AP English Junior year and got a 4 on the exam…But I’m also taking regular English instead of even honors. Also, if I am taking normal government instead of AP, like I’ve taken in history, would they care? I’m trying for BYU Provo…Thanks. (Sorry for hijacking your thread a little, but we really want to know the same thing!) School starts tomorrow for me lol

Haha, no problem dude. Yeah school starts for me tomorrow too.

Yeah, don’t you love those last minute questions in your head?

It can be difficult to strike a balance between a rigorous schedule and maintaining good grades. IMO, if you can take the more advanced class and earn at least a B, you’ll be better off for the schools you’re looking at.
