Senior Mid-year Grade Report

So I heard that almost every school requires mid year report from senior year. Is mid year school report the grades at the end of the first semester or at the middle of first semester(called interim in my school)?
which one of the two types of grades above do early schools require? Do they matter a lot?

I am going to ED Columbia, EA U Chicago and U Michigan. My GPA for Sophomore and Junior are both 4.0 unweighted. However, I bombed my senior English class in my interim. I got a B in Canadian Literature(an English elective), but I got A in AP CS, AP Econ, A+ in multivariable calculus, and A- in AP US History. If my early colleges require interim grades, which are shown above, are they going to hurt me??

Mid year reports are for after the first semester, usually available in Jan. Schools you apply to early usually don’t see your mid year reports when they make decisions. For RD schools, mid years do matter because they want to see that you are keeping your grades up in a rigorous courseload.
