I think I'm getting mine done late June or early July. The prices are horrendous though, yuck.

Although I'm still super excited, I'm doing one of those 2 hour, no pose limit ones.

When I had mine done last year the photographer had a special for having both an indoor and outdoor session for less money so I asked if I could do two seperate outside sessions instead...one with straight hair and one with curly! I felt weird asking at first but he said another girl actually had the same request. I did the straight hair session mid July and the curly in early August...it worked out great!

Just make sure the photographer's style is something you like (ex. modern, artsy, traditional (think hug a tree), etc)

Everyone from my school gets it done at the same place in the next town over. I'll probably get it done at the end of summer in late august or even into the beginning of the school year.

Those 90 dollars could have been spent on the mgs4 bonus pack...

Everyone in our school is basically required to take them =/ We do them in the summer.

Yeah, they're pretty much required at my school too.

Tomorrow morning :).

meeeee...sometime this summer. as late as possible...i need to slim down a bit :(

when I took mine last year, I had a friend shoot mine. then again, our school and our school's yearbook is good with this. we had certain guidelines, and some people did go to professionals, but I really like the way mine turned out.

completely free!

So... what exactly is the point of this? Just an excuse to do a photography session? (Don't mean to sound snobby, I'm genuinely curious.)

^Was that directed at me?

Each senior gets half a page in the yearbook. Over the years they've realized that we do better getting our own done than through the school (since the underclassmen all have to be in dress uniform for class pictures).
-On the day that the underclassmen take pics, the seniors get to do 'goofy' ones. I personally held up stuff that represented who I am and looked like a complete nerd. Some people even took theirs with friends (which is why these goofy pics don't go in the yearbook, and they put in the ones we took separately instead).

Not really directed at anyone... I've never even heard of senior pictures before this spring when I started getting tons of mail from photographers about this. So it's just for yearbooks then?

Johnson181, I'm so jealous of your yearbook! In our yearbook, seniors have a picture wearing a graduation gown and our pictures are slightly larger than the underclassmen (They have 7 wide on a page, we have 5 wide). Some people at my school get their "senior pictures" made just for friends and family. These are usually the ones with different poses outside or whatever.

Our yearbook owns. It's number 1 in state.
(But we each get half a page since there were only 39 in my graduating class... it used to be a whole page until they changed the yearbook to all color)

Ohh luckyy! We have a class of about 700, so they're just like OKgirl's. I don't know, I want to get these pictures done because I figure I'm in the prime of my life, it's worth it to splurge on them now before I look old. But can anyone explain to me how poses work. Like if it says 2 poses does that mean you can only have two different positions? Or two pictures?

im getting mine down in august, and im going to go all out for them and everything since im not paying for them =)
