senior pictures!

So...anyone else getting senior pictures taken soon? I'm getting mine done later this month and found this awesome photographer whose photos have a very vintage-y feel. I'm disregarding the whole mantra about wearing solid colors for your senior pics -- I want to show off my personal style!

Ours was taken a couple of weeks after school got out. We had to wear tux for the “official” school portrait. For extra $$$ [ which I didn’t purchase ], you can have your own portrait dressed in whatever.

I think the “rules” are different for a private photographer than for your yearbook photo, so non-solid colors should be awesome :]

My advice for anyone who has to go through the school, with all those photos in front of weird watercolor backgrounds, is to grab the yearbook from last year. Look at all the photos of the seniors, see what colors look good, which ones just melt into the background, how low the neckline can be before you look topless. At my school, they advised “dark colors,” but when I looked at the yearbook, all the dark colors looked totally drab against the dark blue background. And like I mentioned before, some girls were really unfortunate with where the photo got cropped, and they looked totally naked xD (warning, sometimes they crop it differently between the time you see the proofs and the time it goes into the book!)

Mine are later this month. I really don’t care about them, to be honest. I hate taking pictures. -_-

I got mine done a week ago! But we have to go to the school to get them done by a certain photographer our school uses for dances and stuff.

I’m not taking any. I am that bamf.

August 18th!
