I'm preparing my "deferral reversal" packet to send off and I was wondering if anyone enclosed a wallet-size senior picture. I know some college applications specifically asked for them, but does it seem too taboo/vain to include one when not requested?

I've also enclosed a letter explaining "Why Princeton/Why Accept Me?" and supplements of newspaper layouts w/written explanation of what being on a weekly is like, as well as art photography prints. Also, a friend is sending in her peer rec from Dartmouth. Would a photograph seem out of place?

Also, would any regular be willing to critique my letter? eyes pleadingly

I'll critique your letter.
I already sent my off last week. That seems like quite a package! I just wrote a letter and included a picture (I do photography, but the picture was just referred to informally in the letter).

I don't think it's inappropriate to send a picture of yourself. In fact, I sent one with my original application. Can't say it helped, lol, but I think it's nice to put a face to an app. What I would recommend though, is that rather than putting a serious picture, put something casual and informal...more of a "peek into your life" kind of thing. Just my opinion though.

PM/IM me if you want me to read your letter.

I sent a very nice prom picture in my RD packet.

Don't do it unless its an individual shot wearing something nice in a pleasant, well-lighted setting.

MzLover, let's play gunbound sometime.

Random...
inside joke?

nah, it's one of MzLover's interests (from her profile)
