Senior Provisional Contract

i know that the ucsd provisional contract states that you cannot get D's or F's your senior year and that you must obtain a GPA of above a 3.0....no D's or F's is reasonable...but do they mean UNWEIGHTED GPA of above a 3.0 for each semester of senior year? or weighted, meaning all UC approved honors courses are weighted? orr like 3.0 uw the entire senior year? i've been getting C's in half my AP classes both quarters, but weighted, they would be B's giving me a GPA of higher than 3.0...ugh you guys AP's are killing meeeeeeee

any insight would be greatly appreciated

i've done my research in forums on this but still can't find anything on ucsd...ppl say for cal/ucla its 3.0uw each individual semester and for uci, it's 3.0w for both semesters combined

i think it's 3.0 weighted, but here's a thought: try as hard as you can (don't give in to senioritis) because the AP knowledge you gain seriously helps in college. I'm acing college right now because I refused to slack off until the two weeks before school ended for regular classes and the last 6 weeks for AP classes (gotta love the AP tests for being given in May).

It was 3.0 weighted last year. If you need solid proof, go ahead and contact the admission office.

It's weighted

thank you!

It also depends on what class it was. I got an F on a Teachers Assistant class second semester, and I was still in. It turned out the F was a mistake -_-, but yeah.

They are strict on that. Even UCLA has this policy.

Yeah...I got rescinded from UCLA.

No slackers....take some AP elective courses ....it will help a lot and take some music or fine art electives

If you get rescinded, when do they notify you? When transcripts are sent or when you notify them of the grade? You would find out before they the accept/decline deadline for the UCs wouldn't you (I hope)? Also, are any UCs flexible about this, and which? I have a slight chance of majorly ****ing up in Calc BC.

right now the senior contract says "uc approved classes need to be 3.0" soooo does that mean WEIGHTED or UNWEIGHTED???? Im realllllyyyyyyy scared if its unweighted

still weighted...if you're this worried, it doesn't hurt to call the office and just get a straight answer.
