With the school year quickly approaching, I'm not sure if I've overloaded myself with too many courses for time for College Apps/ studying for the SAT/ SAT IIs.

The main course I'm concerned about is Spanish IV; I'm not fond of the subject at all and I didn't do so great in my Junior year in Spanish III H. I did fine in Spanish I and II, but Spanish III just killed it.

Should I just suck it up and take Spanish IV my senior year? Or drop it?

Here's my schedule so far:

A days-
AP Chemistry II (2 periods)
Advanced Orchestra
AP Spanish IV

B days-
AP World History
Study Hall
AP Environmental Science
AP English IV

So much AP’s dude. o_o

Well imagine this, if spanish killed you junior year, how do you think you’ll handle it even more with AP’s?

It’s up to you~

Why take AP Spanish when you did poorly in the previous year? Languages build upon themselves- each year builds on what you learned previously. It will most likely be difficult to do well in AP when you struggled the year before.

I would consider either regular or honors Spanish 4 if offered.

Well, thing is, I didn’t fail the class, I ended up with a mid B.

However, the scale for AP Spanish is a lot better. I think an 80 on a test is the lowest A? Spanish IV is not as demanding as Spanish III at my school.

Also, our school doesn’t offer Spanish IV Honors.
