Senior Schedule question

I am going to be a senior this year and am debating whether to take AP Chemistry or H Latin IV. I’m not sure which would look better to colleges. I am most likely going to be an English major. I would probably get a slightly better grade in Latin, but I’m not sure if an AP science would look better regardless.
My other classes are
AP Literature
H. Government/ Economics
H. Organic Chemistry (one semester)
H. International Politics (one semester)
Newspaper
AP Stats
and then either AP Chemistry or Honors Latin IV

Schools I am thinking about are pretty varied, I’ve looked at liberal arts colleges (Oberlin, kenyon) as well as bigger universities (NYU, Boston U).

Any advice?

Since you’re going into English, I would recommend Latin! You’d get more out of it for your major.

Just take whichever one you would rather take. You are taking a rigorous schedule, so colleges will be happy regardless

Colleges prefer to see 4 years of foreign language. You already have a Chemistry course anyway. So, Latin is the better choice in this situation.

Do what you enjoy. Think about the longer lasting impacts of the class you take. How will latin or chem impact your view on life.
