Senior Schedule Woes

I already scheduled my classes, but now I'm having doubts about the english college class I chose instead of taking AP english. I plan on applying to schools like BU, NYU, Tulane, Loyola Chicago, CUNY Hunter (maybe maucalays honors college), The New School, etc.

Here's my schedule:

Spanish 4 (not AP anymore :( )
Government
AP Psychology
AP Calculus
Newspaper
Housing and Interiors (which I think I'm going to change to a more meaningful class)
French @ local college for dual credit
English @ local college for dual credit

The problem I'm facing is with English. I can either take English 131 and 132 at my local college the WHOLE SCHOOL YEAR, I can take AP english, or I can take English 131 at the local college and then take REGULAR english at my school (which I dont like the sound of...and I think it would look fishy since every year in hs i had taken honors english).

The thing I'm worried about is that if I do take english at my local college, I feel that I may regret it because I want to be IN SCHOOL the last part of the year since it will be the LAST time I will ever be in high school with my childhood friends (Since I plan on going out-of-state). I also might not be able to go on spring break, which I really want to since I go somewhere every year.

The good thing about taking it at the local college is that I will get DUAL credit and I won't have to read 2400 pages like my AP english class requires. I also will be driving out there anyway for French class and I might as well take 2 classes since I'm using up the gas to go out there.

What would YOU do? If you're a senior, do you wish you were in school more often since its pretty much the last time, or do you wish you could just be done now?

I guess it partly depends on whether or not the credit for the college English will transfer - I know that getting credit to transfer from our nearby community college to another university is tricky and rarely happens with out-of-state schools. That might be a factor to consider - you may be able to get credit with a good score on the AP exam, however.

I’ve taken lots of AP Literature practice exams and can almost assure you that even I won’t get anything better than a 3 or 4.

Hmm… of course, that’s liable to change if you DID take that course next year. You may even feel that by taking the AP Lit class next year, you may be ready for the AP Lang exam, which is not based at all on certain books.
