Senior course schedule. I think this is good but make sure with me?

Honors English 4
AP Calculus AB
AP Biology
AP Psychology
AP Music Theory
Wind Ensemble
Gym

Gym is mandatory, AB is the highest possible.

English 4 used to be AP Lit but when school starts I'm dropping the AP course because a) it's notoriously difficult in my school b) reason A really kills it because I don't plan on doing anything English related and c) I don't want to wake up at 5:50 AM for a class which I don't like based on above two reasons. I'd much rather have Gym for that.

So. Is this still a good schedule? Going for Penn, ND, CMU, UNC, UMich etc. as a Psychology or Biology major. Most kids in the "smart" group have 2-3 APs but they all take AP Lit because they think the easiness of AP Language will carry over (I know better :P)

I'm considering dropping AP Music too for a tougher fourth AP, but I don't want to either because it's music.

dont u have to take gov/econ?

My grade doesn’t.

I struggled with the whole AP Theory vs. another AP course, too. I decided to go with AP Physics I/II instead of theory, mostly because I don’t know what I want to do with my life, but I know realistically I’m not going to major in anything music related. I’d think about taking another AP science class. If you major in Bio you’re going to have to take the other sciences anyway, so either you’ll get AP credit or you’ll already have learned the material, which will make the college courses much easier when they come around.

The only other science AP I can take is AP Physics, because I took AP Chem already. And unfortunately AP Physics would be impossible to fit on my schedule… so I can’t do that.

Available APs that I MAY be able to sub for Music Theory:
Micro
World History
Government

Or I could take Anatomy. But I’m not sure if going from 5 to 3 APs would be a pretty jump.

Care, HSL :[

Take Lit and World history and look balanced.

Well, I’m only taking 3 APs this year, AP Stats, AP Spanish, and AP Biology. I really don’t think it matters taking 5 as opposed to 3 or 4. Honors classes are rigorous as well. Besides, yes they want to see you continue to have a rigorous senior year schedule, but your schedule/transcript is not all that’s important. I think you should be fine.

Any other opinions? Still favoring dropping Lit.
