Senior Year Course Load - Advice?

Hello everyone, I know most people probably don't care about what I'm taking senior year, but I just wanted to get some perspective on AP courses I'll be taking.

AP Psychology
AP Calculus BC
AP French
AP Chemistry
AP English

I don't know how hard these courses are in MY school, but I'm sure some CCers have taken these courses in the past so I just wanted to earn some knowledge :)

I heard AP Chemistry and AP French are deadly though..

Anyway, good luck class of 2010!

Which AP English are you taking, Lang or Lit? The only one of these I’ve taken is AP Eng Lang and it wasn’t hard, just a lot of writing and literary devices to memorize. It helps to have a lot of experience in writing essays.

AP Psych is pretty easy (comparatively). Calc BC I have heard is pretty tough, but that really depends on how good you are at math.

As far as AP Chemistry goes, at my school it is HELL. But that is because the teacher at my school is terrible.

I have no clue about ap french, but ap english lit is relatively easy or at least easier in my opinion that ap lang.

you should not have too much trouble with those APs. AP Chemistry will be just like your general chem class for the most part. Psych is easy if you have Barron’s AP Psychology to help you. AP English Literature might be the most time consuming because of the 20-30 books you will probably have to read. AP French is really going to be based on how well you have done from French I-IV, I guess the best way to prep for that is trying hard in class and making flash cards. Calc BC won’t be too hard if you can keep up with the class and try to have some interest in the topics.

and lol “I’m sure some CCers have taken these courses in the past”
no. Sorry. No one has ever taken those courses. You’re actually the first. Wow.

Sorry to be so mean. Really. ):

@ U.Va - Oh wow, so YOU were the OP of that stupid thread!
Sorry to be mean. Really ): I mean, sure, it’s good advice. But is it something people don’t already know? Doubt it. You have no reason to bring up that little thread of yours because I wasn’t FREAKING OUT abut my classes.

Geez. And all I asked for is some PERSPECTIVE on some of these AP courses out of sincere curiosity! My title must have been misleading. Because I wasn’t REALLY asking for advice.

And I don’t know what you exactly mean by no one having taken those courses.
If you’re just here to ■■■■■, beat it.

And everyone else - thanks for the perspective! The courses sound really fun, definitely. Oh, and I meant AP English Lit, sorry about that :P

Well not that you know me or care but I really was sorry to be mean. I could tell I was needlessly taking my stress out on you.
*sigh. I knew I shouldn’t have posted anything on this thread…

And just because someone is employing sarcasm to make a point does not necessarily mean they are ■■■■■■■■.
Ugggh nevermind I am so over this. Bye.
