Iam planning to take 3-4 APs in senior year. Pls suggest:-
What’s your junior year schedule? Your senior year schedule?
Junior APs: Phy C, Cal BC, Lang and Comp
Senior APs: Chem, Lit, Stats, Spanish(?)
Is AP Spanish in senior year useful (add any value)?
No, I meant the whole schedule.
Stanford is famous for its formula “it’s not a game of who has the most Ap’s, wins”. They want to see how consistent your schedule is with your goals.Just counting Ap’s will not help in determining whether your senior schedue is OK.
You can engineering. It means that your senior schedule should show a progressive increase in STEM.
For instance, is there any way you can take Discrete Math, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, or MultiVariable Calculus, rather than AP Stats (which is a complementary class or a class for students who can’t/won’t take calculus = ie., not you since you took calc BC junior year).
Did you take C: E/M or C: Mech, or both?
Does your school offer AP CS A?
How many AP’s do competitive juniors and seniors typically take?
What science AP’s are offered? If a “Post AP” class is not offered, do you live near a community college that offers it (ie., in math, in physics)?
Do you take Robotics, PLTW classes?
AP Foreign Language is a core AP and therefore important.
Have you taken Subject tests?
Thanks much @MYOS1634
I like Robotics. Will invoke more in that.
