Senior Year Grades and Chances of Applications being Rescinded

All my high school career, I’ve been a dedicated student. I’ve taken as many Honors and AP classes as I could and I’ve always maintained an A/B+ average in said classes. Senior year for the most part has been fine, I was able to get As in 2 of my AP classes, but I was not so fortunate for my AP Chem class. This past marking period, I fell short 1 point, and my average fell to a 68, meaning my semester average went down to a 69. These are the universities I’ve gotten into for their Engineering programs

Purdue
University of Delaware
University of Maryland
Rutgers University
Penn State
Ohio State
NJIT
Drexel
U Mass

And I’m currently awaiting response from Virginia Tech, Clemson and Cornell.

I’m having a mini panic attack right now, because I’ve never been the kind of student to slack when it comes to grades, and I don’t want my chances of going to a good school be thrown away all because of this one mistake. Its simply been a difficult course to manage alongside family issues and other schoolwork. So I guess what I’m asking is, what are the chances these schools rescind my application based on my performance in this one class?

Email your colleges, I was an A/B student and this semester I had got 3 Ds. I emailed them and they were understanding and added it to my file.

Note: when emailing them make sure after your semester two grades are better than previous semester.

Alright, thanks. But what exactly do I go about saying? Like, how do I tell them?

Is a 69 an F at your school?

I’d advise to keep the email short (when I say that, I mean, don’t go rambling in circles).

Maybe start off like “Hello, I (was recently admitted/recently applied) to (University) for the Fall 2015 semester.” Then try to explain your situation from there. I think it’s most important to keep it clear and concise.

@‌EYeager it’s a D+
@miopyon13 OK, thanks for the help.
