bumppppppppppppp

Senior

I think it would hurt if it lowers your unweighted GPA.
Plus, some scholarships you could end up receiving are based on your final GPA.

straight b's will hurt you in no way. Colleges just don't want you to check out completely, if you fall to straight C's you might have problems, but there isn't a college in the country that will get on you over straight b's

^^

Unless, you are accepted into a UC with a 3.1 or something, and then because of those straight B's, you're unweighted GPA falls below a 3.0...then you can be looked at.

^How could your UW GPA ever fall below 3.0 with straight Bs? A 3.0 is straight Bs.

I'm kinda worried myself, I'm on full term and will end with about a 2.8 (straight Bs + a C). But, I think it's really nothing to freak out over. Straight Bs should be fine. It is when schools like UCs have min. GPA requirements and you end up getting one C or something that you might be in trouble.

^^

Oh yea, youre right. whoops...its late.

But better to be safe, because a low B could stray into the C range if you arent careful.

a college will never rescind on straight Bs...ANY college

Does a 3.0 = 85, hence, if you got a 2nd semester average of, i dunno 81ish, if your accepted average was only an 85 or 86, then it could fall below the 3.0, right?

Is it FINAL grades all B or higher, or 2nd semester alone? I'm pretty sure my school only sends final year grades. Do you think they'd look into it enough to know there was a huge drop-off if say my average for the first semester was a 97, and now all of a sudden it's a 90 for the year?

Just wondering, I don't really even plan on slacking off.

You may, however, get a letter from your college asking what's going on. I doubt your admission will be rescinded though.

19382: a 90 for the year means an 83 second semester, and an 83 won't concern your college. fhimas8888888, B's will not get a warning letter. Multiple C's=letter, multiple D's=real problem

Kind of depends on whether you started out with all A's, and then dropped to all B's. Obviously it will affect your ranking, and therefore could affect their offer to accept you. The UCs in California definetely look at your final transcript. Its only a few more months-hang in there!

straight Bs is fine (12)
