Senior Year- TA vs Psych

So this is my current schedule:
AP Lit
AP Calc BC
AP Gov/Econ
AP Physics 2
French 4
Psychology
World Religions (required)

A friend of mine is trying convince me to drop Psych and take up a TA period for a teacher we had sophomore year. I’m sure I would get a great letter of recommendation, but I’m not sure how taking a TA period would compare to taking something academic. I know normal psych is really nothing in terms of academic rigor, but I’d like some advice as to whether or not switching it for a TA period would hurt my chances for selective colleges (even if just a little bit).

Since it’s not an AP actually think it might look better to do TA

Depends on if you’re planning to do psychology later or the subject is interesting or useful to you.

TA protects a weighted GPA > 4.0 as well as gives you a lot of free time to focus on your homework / extracurriculars as well as limit your Senior year stress. You want to have fun!

Wow this sounds great actually. The AP Psych classes in my school are full, so I was stuck in normal psych, but if it really might look better to do TA, then that’s awesome. I keep hearing, “colleges think that having a TA period makes you look lazy”. Is that just a myth?
I’m not planning to do anything psych related, btw

I didn’t think about that. I don’t really know.
