2nd semester grades. How low is too low? I just realized that I've been slacking off too much, and am getting a bit worried.

I'm taking four AP classes at my HS; I have aprx. two C's and two B's.
I'm taking three classes at the local community college; I have one A and two C's.

Are these grades low enough to get my application rescinded?
Can I not send in the community college transcript, despite the fact that I listed the courses on my application?

Actually, slacking isn't the correct word. I've been just as academically active as before, just putting my time into non-school related pursuits.

I'm still pretty scared.

oh, and for comparison, i have A's (and one B) for the rest of my high school career. so it is a precipitous drop.

It is probably OK, but you are kinda pushing the limit. From what I've heard to be safe make sure you get at least straight B's. Generally, D's are real trouble but I would think A/B/B/C/C/C/C is as bad as a single D, esp. given your previous record.

I don't think you will be able to avoid turning in the CC transcript, as you taking those classes were a part of your decision and you would need to have dropped the classes to avoid turning in the transcript (which they might not like either, but it prob. wouldn't get your decision rescinded).

As I'm sure you are a bright kid, make an effort to pull up those grades to B's - it prob. isn't that hard to do that. While you may be okay, you are actually running the risk of messing things up and it would be awfully stupid if you had your decision taken away.

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely make an effort to bring them up.

I had a great time this semester reading and learning about things that truly interest me full time. Looks like I'll have to start paying attention in gov again ;).
