<p>Prom season's coming up! :) What are your thoughts? Are you going? Excited? Nonchalant? Bored? Aren't going? What are the CCer thoughts on this?</p>
<p>I am really excited, personally. After the APs, sadly, it's all that I can think about.</p>
<p>Not going actually, too much money and most of my friends not going for same reason 
(around 180 at my school…)
Going to an island (sort of…), the senior day activity trip, I am excited for that!
Might also go to grad. night, but it costs $150 and its basically bowling…</p>
<p>We already had ours. Most of the schools around here already did. It was a blast!! I hope everyone who hasn’t had theirs yet has a good time.</p>

<p>had mine last night, had a good time, got back home at 520…parents weren’t too happy about that, but they will get over it</p>
<p>My party got busted and I had to out run the cops through the woods back home. Ad I had just gotten into Columbia a week prior, so the stakes were high</p>
<p>Wow, mine’s next Friday! So all of you had it already?

<p>Yep. We had ours as well and it was a great blast!</p>
<p>^ Great! I heard nothing but good things about prom … It’s a fun wait until Friday!! </p>
<p>I just got my dress and sandals (yes, if you haven’t noticed, I’m a girl 
) with my mom’s help (she knows EXACTLY how to pair a dress and shoes.) The dress is gorgeous – I’m so happy!</p>
<p>Last year we ditched after about 10 minutes, and this year I went with a group to another school’s prom and it was the same. There’s NO effort put into it around here. The “DJ” is some middle-aged dude with iTunes, the “theme” is they tacked one decoration to the wall, and there’s water and watered-down fruit punch. The best times were everything we did that night OTHER than prom. (Which included an awesome meal, chillin’ in a limo, and driving around the city for 3 hours taking random pictures)</p>
<p>Now Alt Prom was Friday night and it was a PARTY. Real DJ, real party, no fancy dress bull. I don’t know if there’s one where you are but around here it’s totally worth going gay or straight.</p>
<p>I am a CCer so I will tell you my thoughts on this. I am going. I am not excited. I am nonchalant. I am not bored. </p>
<p>My thoughts are that there is more to life than prom. </p>
<p>What color are your dresses? </p>
<p>Mine is lime-orange with a sparkle of lemon.</p>
<p>No. Not excited. I was introduced to the concept of prom only 11 months ago. I’ve been to/heard of other much more exciting events.</p>

<p>ILOVEFEDERER – haha, I’m not TOO excited, it’s just that it’s sadly the most happening event in my life right now. It’s only one night, for a couple of hours, but I’m trying to romanticize it for lack of anything better to do on Friday night. </p>
<p>Mine’s blue with a splash of yellow and a yellow sash in the middle – It’s a long one. </p>
<p>Tizil7 – Exactly my view, and it’s fun to dress up for one day, right?</p>
<p>The fancy clothes and the nice dinner are literally the only reasons I went last year (and also peer pressure), and this year it’s because with the group I was with I knew it would be fun.</p>
<p>Desicollegegal: That dress sounds nice. Sashes fascinate me. </p>
<p>What are you doing with your hair? I’m getting a perm–just like my mother.</p>
<p>ILOVEFEDERER: Nothing in particular :). I think I’ll just curl my hair and style it at home – I honestly don’t see the point in going to the salon for them to do my hair for one night. Call me crazy, but it’s true. Your perm sounds awesome though! </p>
