Notoriously, seniors are known to slack off. Ever heard of something called senioritis? Well, I HAVE IT. ITS REAL!!!

And I'm mad about it.

My grades are SO low right now. I only have one A (3 if u count the classes I'm taking at the Junior College next door) and the rest are really low B's and one B+ lurking on the edge of an A. Its really frustrating. Anyone else feel their grades slipping and a lack of motivation? Also, I feel so swamped (more so than usual) because of college applications.

Anyone care to share their thoughts/frustrations/rants?

Actually that is funny you ask - my grades are the highest ever. I can say with confidence that I have an A in every class but English and French.

and my school doesn't give extra weight to B+'s so i am gonna get a 4 for those B's (Honors/AP classes) and there goes the GPA...and thats as high as i see things getting! :)

Im doing badly too in all my classes. I have 3 b's as far as I know. Its not just senioritis - i too am swamped with college applications, cannot motivate myself to study, plus my classes are HARD!!

econ:a+
3d media design: a+
ap physics: c-
ap calc: b
ap stats:a+
english: a+

what the heck? 4 a+ but then a B and a C-? thats pretty messed up

senioritis for some of my classes has really kicked in. i dont bring a backpack to school. just ONE binder for 6 classes, no books, one pencil and one grapher. i dont even have an agenda to write my homework in.
when i get home from school:
3:30-4:00: eat
4:00-5:30 go online, chat, CC
5:30-6:00 try to do homework while listening to bob marley, reading the latest SURFER, and day dreaming about being at the beach.
6:00-6:15 do nothing
6:15-7:15 have dinner
7:15-8:00 take shower, brush teeth, do stuff
8:00-8:45 try to do homework while listening to ......
8:45-whatever: tell myself i am over homework and watch tv or somethinh.

basically every day's like this. i dont know how i am getting 4 a+.

english, journalism, AP euro(i think idk specifically), multivariable calculus i have an A i think. I have like B in AP physics B+ in the lab class and a B in AP gov but it's only interims. Quarter ends on nov 4.

I was a crappy student last year. I'm not sure what happened, but I think senioritis can work two ways on students. I caught the good side I guess.

i cant believe you kids are disappointed by B's, they dont bother me.. try this a 78 in ap cal and a 78 in ap bio... hows that for slacking and oh yea those are official, my grading quarter ended last wed.

that's no good terry. Didn't you get into Purdue? do you think that you'll keep your grades high enough to keep from getting your acceptance rescinded? Heh De-slack terry! you can do it haha.

Spanish IV: B- ... terrible!! It's because my teacher loves to kill all the students with super strict participation grade. If you don't speak like 3x a class period you're not getting an A. I raise my hand for almost every quesiton but I sit in the corner and either he doesn't see me or he doesn't like me. Plus, with 30 students, we don't always have the opportunity to talk!

AP Macro: B+ (like a 91% and I need a 93% damn social studies grading scale!) We have like zero point opportunities in this class. We have tests every week and then an essay every other week that is worth like half that of our tests. So, tests are everything and they're extremley difficult.

Trig: A. Not worried.

AP Lit: A. Not worried (except we have a research paper and notecards/source cards due tomorrow and I'm not even done with my book, eek!)

AP Euro: A. Not worried.

Physics: B-. VERY worried! I don't know how I'm going to raise this to an A in two weeks....

IB History HL: Fabulous... the first unit was a complete review of everything I did in International Politics last year! This is going to be a great class this year - good people to debate with!

IB English HL: Not bad, but we've only had 2 commentaries so far, so that's not much to judge by. It can only get better!

IB Chem HL: Wow. Scariest class ever because everyone else is on science olympics/chem olympiad/HL Maths and I'm not a science person. I'll still have an A-, but getting there has been painful.

IB Spanish SL: Super easy, no worries.

Band/Choir: Perfect as usual, which really isn't hard when you just show up on time!

My grades are the worst they've ever been. I've accumulated a 95 GPA 9-11th grade..and here are my grades so far.

AP Art History - 89
AP Art Studio - 91 (going to drop once projects are due)
AP English Lit & Comp - 86, probably 84 after the second paper gets graded
AP Physics - 84
AP Calc AB - 94, thank God for Intro to Calc (I learned a lot last year)
Christian Vocation aka Senior Religion - 100 or so. lol.

My lowest A is from Calc BC and I'm a math type of guy!

Two of my AP courses are online with Apex, so it is RIDICULOUSLY easy. In fact, I can finish a month or two ahead of schedule, leaving me with 2 open periods at school in which I can do homework or chill (or sleep in).

"that's no good terry. Didn't you get into Purdue? do you think that you'll keep your grades high enough to keep from getting your acceptance rescinded? Heh De-slack terry! you can do it haha."

It will take a lot more than 2 C's in ap classes to get admission rescinded from purdue, plus i dont plan on going anywayz

CORRECTION
I got my grades which should be more official than my original post.
I have As in English, Multivariable calc, AP Gov, AP Euro, Journalism.
a B in AP physics C and a B+ in the lab class.
I can bump up my physics grade and I will be set!
