So...I wasn't aware that I'm supposed to send a copy of 2011 Tax Return by Feb. 15th. I just sent mine in. I did FAFSA and CSS Profile by the deadline though.

Would this be a problem???

@achievingdream I would email them to let them know. I knew that my tax returns would be late and they said that they would take them as soon as they were available. Let them know what happened and that they should expect to to see them soon. This won’t be a problem for admissions since Cornell is need blind, but it may delay and or hurt you chances of receiving financial aid. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I actually e-mailed them, and they said I might be getting my financial packet late but wouldn’t really be a problem. They were so helpful and nice!

No problem. And yeah, when I e-mailed them they were extremely helpful and considerate. Some of my other colleges seemed upset that my information would be late, but Cornell seemed to sympathize and they helped me through the process. Yet, another reason why I want to go there so bad… :)

I agree! I sent the same message to other college, and all they said is “That’s fine.” They both said the same thing but in different ways…lol

Cornell is still accepting all financial aid documents. I called the office today just after they’d closed and there was a long message explaining how they would take financial aid documentation for freshmen and transfer students even though the deadlines of Feb. 15 and March 1 had passed. So you’re good!
