<p>I was working on 2 essays. For some reason, the one for another college was pasted into the essay box for Rutgers. What do I do?!?!</p>
<p>How much is the essay worth anyway? The 2 topics were somewhat related, but not directly.</p>
<p>Do you think it would destroy my chance of going there?</p>

GPA: 96 (UW); 97.77 (W).
SATs: 1900; 540 (R), 690 (M), 670 (W). 12~essay.

<p>Try emailing them and explaining the mix-up. They’re human, they understand that you make mistakes. </p>

<p>I would do the following on Monday…1) talk to your HS dean/guidance counselor if he/she is any good; 2) call Rutgers Admissions and ask what to do; 3) if you can’t get through or can’t get clear instructions from Rutgers on the phone, email the admissions department and attach the correct essay. This is not the first or last time this has happened. You look like a very solid candidate for Rutgers so you should be OK. Hopefully the other essay didn’t have anything saying that that other school is by far and away your favorite…</p>
