<p>I put B, and the answer is A.. why?</p>

<p>In the first one, "they" doesn't refer to anything, but in A, the subject is clear.
In the second one, B is wordy, if you read it A should sound better. Also, in B, "as a result" is added in the wrong place.</p>

<p>i dont understand how "therefore" fits in #12. How is the ability to survive a "cause" of being able to pass on the trait?</p>
