September ACT Science Discussion

That was a tough :'(

I didn't see a Science specific thread made, so I took the pride in making one. :)

I thought it was insanely hard also :(. Not like the practice ones I did

:'( after the first 4 pages, everything went downhill -___-

I’m in Science Olympiad, have takin College physcis, AP Chem and Bio…and I still thought it was way to involved :(

does anyone remember the answer to the one that asked, which one would support scientist 2’s theory? was it 65.5 mya asteroid or 65.5 layer of ash (something like that)?

I said something about clay…not 100% what choice it was…but I think C…then again I’m only 50% sure I got it right :'(

I put asteroid crater but I wasn’t really sure

Yeah there was no way to tell between whether it was a crater or a layer of clay…but are you fairly sure that it’s 65.5 mya and not 64 mya?

Until science, I thought that it might be possible to get a 36. I thought it was all pretty easy until I got to the alleles passage. I had to mark a few answers I wasn’t totally sure of, but otherwise it was okay.

For me though, the light ray one was terrible. I saved it for last, and ended up being too nervous to really understand it. I ended up having to make 3 slightly educated guesses.

I am extremely nervous; last time I took it I got screwed over by science and ended up with a 33.25, and I really don’t want that to happen again.

For that question with the picture of the light reflection from car A to B, was the answer A, which was perpendicular?

I don’t really remember, but I think I might have put c or something, that was one I had to guess on. Does anyone remember that named degree of reflection?

i put 4 i think…but I fail at Science…screws me over :'(

i put to look for craters. basalt is made from volcanoes

Curve predictions?

I feel like I totally failed everything non-chemistry. xP

**** yeah, it was so hard. ahhh

English, Math, and Reading

English:Alright not terrible
Math: grr, okay okay
Reading: really? alright

Science: after the first page…***FFF and then i had 12 minutes left and 20 blanks…i guessed on over 11 of em…god helpme

Does anyone remember question 16 on the science passage? It asked what would happen if enzyme Q was defective and what color the flower would be. Was it purple or white? And what was the reason?

@sunshine02 That whole section was difficult for me. ugh.

It was perpendicular, since the curve of the perpendicular was higher for every theta than parallel
