September ACT Writing Score Delay

hi
I still did not receive my act writing score.(like a lot of people)
The commonapp doesnt allow me to self report my ACT score without entering my writing score.
I am applying early.What should I do?
Do I have the option not to self report any ACT/SAT score in the CommonApp (I thought I can just explain the situation
in the extra information part and write there my ACT score without the writing part) and then when my writing
scores come I can send them officially?

"Harvard College: ACT Score Update LAST UPDATED OCTOBER 29, 12:33 PM

ACT has announced a delay in reporting September ACT test scores. Please do not worry! We understand that those scores will be available by November 1 or soon thereafter. You need not send us a screenshot of your scores or your registration. If necessary, we will contact applicants with updated instructions.
In addition, we are aware of significant delays in the administration of ACT examinations in Texas due to the recent storm. Perhaps 35 test centers were forced to cancel their ACT testing affecting several thousand students. We understand that ACT is working to offer rescheduled tests in the next few weeks. We want to reassure affected students that we are prepared to consider their Early Action applications without October ACT scores if necessary. Should it be necessary to delay an Early Action decision because of missing information—test scores or school materials—we would communicate with that student individually."

thanks

but I am still confused.So does it mean that I can send my commonapp without any ACT/SAT score?
and then officially send my ACT score with writing?

I just want to know this.
Is it acceptable to send Commonapp without any SAT/ACT (self reporting) score what so ever.I mean would it
mean that my application is incomplete even with sending my official ACT score right after?
I am asking because my ACT is 33 (i have taken once) and I also took SAT once just to try (2030)
so I really dont want to send my relatively low SAT score “just to have something” in the commonapp while waiting to get my act writing score to officialy send my ACT score.

Report your ACT as a future test date of September 2015, and then you can submit the app without the scores. Not that they don’t trust you, but Harvard is going to look at the score report for your scores, not the Common App. :slight_smile:

@skieurope thank you so much
so you say that it would not be a problem not to send any SAT/ACT scores in your common app?
could you please confirm that

Reporting scores on the Common App is optional, so no, you do not have to report them there. Of course, if required by the college, you do need to send in an official score report.

okay thanks
is there any college in the US that doesnt require ACT/SAT by the way?
@skieurope
