i said after paragraph 2 cuz kids gave comments to original
and helen keller irrelevant

i forget what i put on the paragraph being moved, but i answered it confidently ( i think i did put after paragraph 2, not sure)

hellen keller - yes the mention of her distracts

what was the one on the cylinders passage…it was like early steel cylinders

the one about cylinders was which one made a specific detail about the cylinders. i dont remember the choices but it was pretty obvious. one of the wrong answers was cylindrical. basically whichever choice wasn’t already mentioned in the sentence.

For the passage about the rainforest and its seeds being nurtured…
- was the “dominance” one “no error”?
- was the answer to the first question in that passage “possible?”

for the hellen keller one—did you guys say it was irrevelent to the pararaph? or distracted the reader from the main point of the passage? i put distracted reader from main point of essay…

i also put after paragarph 5…to move the paragraph. i’m pretty sure that was right

spiral - i think it was make possible? unless make was not part of the answer choice

jett - it distracted the focus

what was paragraph 2 / 5 about? i cant remember if i put 2 or 5

also…about that passage with the scientist and the blind / deaf students…the sentence was something like…"students at the perkins boarding school used field experiments…(i can’t remebmer the exact sentence) but two of the answer choices were to eitehr leave it…or put a comma after schoool.

i wrote the sentence terribly but does anyone have any idea which question i’m referring to. it was the first sentence of a paragraph (the paragrph that was moved)

jets - i think i remember the question and i believe no comma

okay good that is what i put. also–for the passage about the trees in a line…i have 2 questions:

the first questioned asked a sentence in the first paragraph effectively began the passage? i put no chnage

and–at one point…it commented on how the lines of trees were not man made. and then it went to a transiition word…it was like “consequently, the trees are tehre as a result of the natural environemnt.” does anyone know waht i’m talking about? the choices in place of consequently were like…however, instead, or meanwhile. i was having trouble between instead and consequently

jets - i put instead

ugh. would it deffinitely not be consequently?

well, i’d say i’m around 95% sure, it didn’t happen as a result of that, so i think it’s instead

Instead - 100% sure.

the museum passage it was “after paragraph 5”
the last passage it was “after paragraph two”
count it!

it was “instead” b/c the trees weren’t manmade. the sentence before said they were not manmade, so it would be “instead.”

“Instead” is correct. Instead sets up a contrast with the previous sentence. Consequently would indicate that something is resulting from the previous sentence, which is not correct.

I put no change for the first question. && for the other I selected instead as the transition work.

the 3rd paragraph said that her editor suggested she make another one
then paragraph 5 starts off with she immediately worked for hours at her kitchen, and then explains her ideas. paragraph 4 starts off with children testing an anonymous book out, and then when they were ready, made the prints. paragraph 6 says the book was a success

so icyfresh… you moved it after paragraph 5? I’m pretty sure that’s what I did. I was torn between 2 and 5… Then finally picked 5.
