I LOLed at the “hot” waiter question

he was born in the family with (knowledgeable informative thinking)…()was underlined. I put expertise. What was the answer for this??

Was the word articulated?

SAT/Bry - Yes it was articulated and yes the answer was expertise

what was articulated?? was that the question?? i don’t rememeber that…can u explain??

the only one that really confused me was the “something like” one describing an audience viewing the art. what did you put?

For the passage about the rainforest and its seeds being nurtured…
- was the “dominance” one “no error”?
- was the answer to the first question in that passage “possible?”

Also,
was the “hot waiter” answer…“no change?”

^

1) Pretty sure no error
2) Yes, the nursing trees made possible Douglas firs, redwoods, etc.
3) Yes, the other choices were simply convoluted

I don’t want to invalidate my scores – so I’m going to say:

1)Subjective pronouns

Edit: I guess the rules aren’t the same as the SAT…

anyways I’m sure that the answer should have been “who dominate”

you had a choice of “whom dominate” and some others

for the one question about the passge writing or w.e. with the choices “evidenced by” or “as evidently as”
which one was the asnwer?
i got “evidenced by” i think…

does anyone know about the question in the first part that was either that, who or whom???

or the one about something like a windmill or something stupid?

I’m pretty sure it was “that” (A. No Change??)? Because they were talking about an object, not a person so it couldn’t have been who or whom.

I forgot the question completely, but “who dominate” only works with people. I forgot what it was referring to exactly, so you decide if you’re right.

I think the dominate one was just “dominate” or “dominates,” I can’t remember the choices

I’m pretty sure the whole “trick” to that passage was making sure all of the tenses agreed

^ Agreed. I think it was dominate because it was talking about three different types of trees in a series. I went back and reread it. It wasn’t are dominant of, dominant of, or whatever other choice there. It was “dominate.”

since we’re agreed that the answer is “dominant,” was that the “no error” choice?

I got “evidenced by” as well.

^ I’m not sure. I don’t think it was no error, but I can’t remember. I know whatever it was, we got it right. WOOT! WOOT!

I got “evidenced by.”

what was answer to the rhetprical skills question about the indian guy on the train, it said whick detail bests ums of the paragraph and the answer choices were like

postcards to his relatives in delhi
randrops of the bars of the train
the familiar sound of the train had gone away

i was dumbfounded on that one

How about the question in the paragraph about the Indian man on the train, where it said to separate a whole paragraph into 2… Which answer did you choose?

I believe I was stuck between two answers

-When he woke up and the bengal country side was outside
-As a child he’d crane his neck out

I chose the second one would be best to start the paragraph at…

Two questions:

1.) the one where it was like “each shiny cylinder” should it have been just left without any commas, or should it have been “each, shiny cylinder”. i answered with no commas.

2.) that one question with the phrases for Ben Franklin’s magazine was like “evidence as” or whatever. i answered “evidenced by” because “evidently as” just did not sound right. i switched the ending phrase (separated by a comma) with the first phrase, and it seemed to work with “evidenced by”.

any confirmations?
