Several college questions packed into one post

I am a rising senior with a few questions, that I probably should know already.
Don't usually like to start these threads, but I'm very curious about what colleges look for.

Is it a problem that my grades have gone like this; 4.2/5, 4.6/5, 4.1/5 Freshman Sophomore and Junior years. Will colleges put weight on my sophomore year grades? I go to a competitive public school by the way.

Is it a problem that I only took one AP Class Junior year even though I plan on taking three next year? (My school starts allowing you starting Junior year).

How many recommendation letters, do most schools require, not including counselor rec letters? (top 100 schools)

are my extracurriculars adequate?

Cross Country JV- 3 years
JV Tennis- 2 years
Make a Wish Club Vice president 3 years
Newspaper 2 years, and sports section editor 1 year.
National Honor Society 2 years
Student government- 2 years
Student Council Community Service Commitee head 1 year
National French Exam award winner, 5th and 6th nationally freshman and sophomore year, Chapter award winner junior year.
100 Hours of Service from Teen Trip (IMO not a bs trip)
Volunteered semi- regularly for the Democratic Office
Worked as a Teaching assistant at my Hebrew School-2 years
Member of a leadership Organization/Program that promotes cooperation between the Jewish and African American community.
top choice right now would be GW, with American, Boston University and Pitt also in the mix.

Thanks for your help

any help?.;.

Most schools want two reference letters. Do you have SAT or ACT scores to share? Can you give a general idea of where you live (do you offer those schools any geographic diversity)?

Pennsylvania and just under 2000, but retaking once more in October.

I don’t know about the GPA thing; it probably depends on the school.

ECs look good.

Recs- usually need 2

APs- if that’s what your school offers, it’s not your fault. It’s good you’re taking 3 next year. I only took 1 junior year also (and 1 sophomore year), but then did 5 senior year. Depends where you’re applying, but in general, no, they don’t require you to have taken more than 1 AP junior year or not admit you bc of that.

last up 10 char.
