I think about half of guys will admit they masturbate.

But only 10-20% of girls will, at least in my experience.

I think about half of guys will admit they masturbate.

But only 10-20% of girls will, at least in my experience.

Well, if a girl says she does it, it kind of has a negative conatation, but when a guy says it, I guess we've become so used to it, it's nothing big. So it's easier to admit it when you're a guy than a girl, even if exactly the same number of each gender are doing it

Men HAVE to do it. Not only will that stuff get into your brain, but the pipes will get backed up. It's part of our physiology. It becomes routine, like shaving.

omg, your pipes will get backed up? I learn something new everyday on cc

Looks like I'm a minority in that 1-5% range of guys who don't...

"Men HAVE to do it"

not really, that is just a myth. If so, celibate priests would blow up like ballons. Of course, they might not be celibate but thats a whole nother story.

I dont consider sex to be morally reprehensible at all! In fact I consider it moral!

How can sex be moral? I understand amoral, immoral, but that means not having sex is immoral?

It is! lol I was just trying to stand up to the "morality police" by using their words against them

oh haha. that's kind of an interesting though though. It would mean we're all immoral until we have sex. Which would make rape seem more like a duty rather than a crime.

I assume you're young, audioslave, because you eventually will. And about priests, why do you think so many of them are focusing all their attention on little boys? They're under the influence.

i'll give this thread about 15 minutes til its docked.

aim78: For a high school student, I'm not young at all. I'm 17. I doubt I'd give up and go for the "instant gratification." My religion has played a major role in my actions and will most likely continue to do so in the coming years.

Also, I wanted to make a comment about what you said about priests. Empirically speaking, the fact is that parents of children are more likely to abuse their children than priests. The scandal of pedophile priests was blown out of proportion by the media.

I don't think one thread has disturbed me this much in a very long time.

I've had the oppertunity to have sex, and I've declined. While I don't condemn having sex in high school, I think it is foolish in most cases. So many of my peers are nuckleheads. I just shake my head when I hear of some guy who is going to be a father. I've "petted" but I had to draw the line somewhere.

This is quite a controversial thread but Ill put in an honest opinion. I think sex is a great thing that two people can share. SOme high school students are certainly ready, but most are not. For those who are safe about it and do it with someone that they love i feel that sex is a wonderfull act that will help both people mature and learn to trust and love one and other. I do not feel that people should be having unprotected sex, and do not condone frivolous sexual behavior. Still, there is nothing inherently bad about sex.

condoms as well as birth control pills are easily available for thoose who are mature and interested...and people should do the research if they are planning to have sex.

As for masturbation, i would not go as far as to say that is necessray but some sort of sexual satisfaction is certainly longed for.

Furthermore, masturbation is not a human phenom. I have see a friends pet monkey ....
I can talk about this more, if anyone has serious intentions, so if you owuld like to hear more about my opinions please email me.

Sorry for not being eloquent, but i just wanted to quickly contribute my beliefs

Coitus Interruptus :D 10% good enough? any imputs?

I don't think this thread will get closed....its a mature conversation....to to all...contribute.

I really think that American wouldn't have a lot of the problems involving STD's and unwanted pregnancy if people would just TALK about sex....especially before having it.

Every major study done regarding sex education has shown that a full, in-depth, scientific look into sexuality is unlikely to increase sexual activity. Some suggest that it decreases it. At the very least, it almost certainly reduces unwanted pregnancies and STD rates.

I think high schoolers, particularly in my school, should keep their pants on...People I know who do or have done it just do it to be cool. (Note: I am a virgin.) The people in my school, some of whom claim to have started as young as fourth grade when they claimed they first learned what it was or how to do it, just do it for the hell of it...As a hobby...They have taken a biological function intended for reproduction and given it the same status that one might classify knitting or painting in...In addition, high schoolers are really, for the most part, not at all ready to undertake something like sex, as it instills the idea that sex is merely about messing around and having fun. Going into adulthood with this attitude can have dire consequences on not only this person, but all of society...In the past, such actions could get one hanged...Today, everything is governed by sex and sex appeal...I can only imagine what the world will be like fifty years from now...

New generations are being exposed to too much sex in society. if everyone were to just tone it down a bit, I believe that it would not be as big of a "problem". That being said, it is only natural and if done maturely, I think that sex should be alright.
