I agree... It initially seems like a big deal but eventually it really isn't. Go sleep at a friends if it's a night or two. If he's sleeping over, you can still stay in the room... especially if you just go in after they go to sleep. I stay in the room when my roomies' boyfriends (who go to the same college) stay over, and it's no big deal. Also, my friends sleep over at their boyfriends' when the roomies are around... sometimes they take a bit of teasing from the roomie, but that's it.

what an interesting college topic... must be nice living in a dorm with a hyperactive hormonal college guy :D

This is pretty simple. Just sleep in a friends room. That's where I go, and that's where my roommate goes.

i'd set up time limits ... like, you'll be back in the room at 11 pm. Not a minute sooner or later. Or, you can stay at a friends room for a specified night, but you'll be back at a given time in the morning. I wouldnt stay more than one night at another person's room. If they want you to leave against your will talk to your RA, they'll likely be the ones getting in trouble. After all, you're the one paying a heap of money for the room. Tell them to go elsewheres or get a motel.

you should secretly videotape them...haha that would be funny

put itching powder in your roomate's sheets or scatter a dozen of those stop-watches to go off every 5 minutes randomly in the room - the perfect way to break the mood.

^
That's evil lol.

Anyway, my roommate and I agreed waaaay back in the year that we wouldn't do this, but he broke the contract. However, he did agree that this gave me the right to kick him out one weekend. :p Since tenting is going on, it wasn't hard to find a roommate-less friend to let me sleep over. I have access to my room all day; I just can't sleep there for a night. :)

Be sure to thank Coach K.........

Ask if you can join in, that way you won't feel left out either. :)

^ I just blurted out laughing after I read that.

Oh come on, this is not that big a deal. Don't any of your friends have futons? If not, one of them (or their roommates) is probably leaving for the weekend and you can sleep in their bed. Just be reasonable, grab as many books as you think you'll need, and arrange to have access to the room during parts of the day. Unless your roommate's girlfriend is extremely unattractive, I'm sure he'll be eager to introduce her anyway.

^
Eh, didn't you read my post (#27)? That's what I'm doing lol.

Eh, no I didn't read all the way to the bottom. I just got sick of reading people's outraged posts and skipped down to reply.

or you could sit on the tree in a way that you can see them and they you and hold up score cards! 1 for boring and 10 for hot! jk :D

Yet another reason why it's best to have a single room haha.

Make sure not to leave your books or anything there...god knows what will hapen to them lol.

Or you could always stay and say it's a project for anatomy class.

On a serious note, you might want to remind him to use protection (assuming he's stupid enough not to.)

"Yet another reason why it's best to have a single room"

aaaaaaamen to that!!!
