I want to transfer to SFSU Fall of 2015. By the beginning of Fall 2014, I should have about 35-40 units done. I know that the minimum to transfer is 60 units. Will it affect my chances of getting in to SFSU when I apply during October since I won't have the 60 units done until the end Spring 2014.

Bump.

I would say it depends on your major. If it’s impacted then they’ll be more likely to insist on the full 60 credits. imo But you could still get 60 if you take classes Fall 2014 and Spring 2015. You just need to have them completed by the end of Spring semester 2015 to qualify for Fall 2015. You list your in progress classes for Fall and your planned classes for Spring on your application.

Oh okay thanks! I plan on majoring in BA: Accounting… I have no doubt that I’ll have at least 60 units, if not more, done by Spring semester along with the pre-req classes for the major.
It’s just that at the time of application, I’ll only have around 40 units done so far.

Then you’re set! Don’t forget to also apply for transfer approval with your current CCC during your Spring 2015 semester and send it to SFSU before the deadline. I didn’t know about this last step until I met with a transfer counselor. Good luck!

Oh, I’m assuming that’s the CSU GE certification that I send along with my transcript, right?
