I wonder about the timing of this, after April 10th. Could be purely coincidental.

I know of a few kids who are football players and were weighing this issue whether to attend Lawrence or not. Ultimately they decided not to and have enrolled elsewhere.

A further thought - fif would be surprised if the Lawrence Head survives this. This is a real hammering, and brings into question a level of competence and judgement.

Lawrence should forfeit all of their victories over those two years.

Lawrence, already a weak sister in the ISL, dramatically underendowed and with poor matriculation, will be watched closely from now on. The letter from the ISL heads quite specifically threatens their future membership.

interesting that there is no specific mention of what rules were brocken … however the sanctions certainly imply improper financial aid certainly were the focus … also interesting no mention of improper recruiting (which would seem to go hand-in-hand with the financial aid issue)

Personally I feel vindicated. With all due respect how can the former coach not see what was wrong. Obviously, IMO, there were shenanigans involved that are not being publicized and the wording of the letter itself is proof of that.

Thought we could use a little side line scuttlebutt. Ok, I guess it’s back to the waiting game.

"The ISL has a similar philosophy to Division III schools like Amherst, Tufts, Williams, and Bowdoin, and Lawrence is recruiting like Alabama. "

@hootoo, that is an unfair if not absurd statement. There were serious offenses that LA breached within the bylaws of the ISL which was evident in interpreting the ISL letter. SG at least had the common sense to boycott the game and obviously rightfully so. By the way SG defeated LA in lacrosse last week, it’s not the end of the world.
