Hey,

I'm a senior in HS right now going to college next year and some of my junior friends would like to read my essay as an example and use it as a template.

Would I get in trouble or anything, like would I "lose" in anyway or is it safe.

I don’t think you would lose or get in trouble. They get to read your essay and see what it should be like. When I was a senior in high school, my AP Lit class spent a couple weeks just on writing our college essays and we peer reviewed each others’ for feedback. The only bad result would be if a junior used your EXACT essay to schools. But showing it to them as a template/example is fine. =]

I think its mainly harmless. The only way it might become problematic is if they copy your essay word for word and apply to the same schools, although I doubt that would happen. I think its okay to allow others to read them, I would. :)

There’s no problems with letting others read your essays, but I’m doubtful as to whether they would have much success emulating them.

yeah. when i was senior, my friends and i corrected each others’ essays. we never handed the essays to each other
