Sharing, Venting, Supporting Class of 2018

I was going to make a list of the area codes from the remaining schools we are waiting on and then I thought it was too dorky so I didn’t. But I still might…

I keep seeing all of these acceptances roll in, and besides my early acceptance in December, I’ve only received word of a rejection. I still have 3 schools to hear from, and it’s just killing me. I want to know where I’m going to college!
And, @Jkellynh17 I did see it the first day it came out. It was so incredible! Lately I’ve been getting very interested in film along side of theatre, and it’s freaking me out! ;)

@dramamom0804 I’m the same as you! We’re in Wisconsin and the snow won’t stop!!

I have a very busy next 2-3 weeks, and I thought that would keep me distracted, but it’s really not. I ALSO thought that my new obsession with Jared Leto would distract me as well, but instead I’m just constantly thinking about Jared Leto AND college at the same time! Haha!

Jared Leto went to University of the Arts! Where my D has been accepted. :-)

Is it too late to audition? ;))

Nomester, I think I read on the MT thread that it may not be too late to audition for U Arts:)
Check it out!

Yeah, UArts, Cornish, and Monclair have late auditions!

Not to be contrary, but Jared Leto got his BFA at UArts in painting and drawing, which I guess goes to show that it’s good to be well rounded!

Connections, you are right; I just read that about him. He also sings and write songs.
And yes U Arts is still auditioning.

nomester, if you love Jared Leto (although he is old enough to be your dad!), you should get your hands on the My So-Called Life dvds. You’re too young to have watched it when it was on but my older girls had such a crush on Jordan Catalano. A wonderful, if short-lived, series with a lot of great theatre talent. It was created, and much of the writing was done by Winnie Holzman, who was nominated for a Tony for Best Book of a Musical for Wicked.

@nomester go over to the FB unified page and read the Audition Horror stories the kids are posting. They are awesome and a great distraction. You guys have the best outlook on life!

Just died laughing reading those FB stories!!

I know! And the kids were so well adjusted over it all.

You guys are seriously the best. I just needed to say that little sentence to SOMEONE, and I wasn’t expecting this much support to come off of my little complaint.
I have no problem saying that I love my college confidential family more than anything because you know how to relate to me and no one else in my life does.
No where else can a teenage girl stress about college auditions and fangirl over Jared Leto at the same time! Thank you, I love you guys.

I think you’re going to be fine, nomester. You’ve got one good acceptance already and three more decisions to go.

Worst case, you go to Viterbo, which is a very good program.

I am so happy! My daughter woke me up this morning with the great news from the New School! I think this program is perfect fit for her! So glad she got accepted early, right before big women’s holiday in our country. We surely are gonna celebrate it big!

Bisouu, I would so like to see that FB Unified page, but my request to join hasn’t been accepted! How the heck do I get in on the fun over there?

Congrats nonactingmom!!! I know this is big!

Taking 100 Kindergarteners to see live theater today…wish me luck! <3

Congrats nonactingmom! It is so great that your daughter has an acceptance at a school where she will be happy!

Sydsim…maybe you can message someone in the group to add you. I assume you are a student…not sure they want parents…lol
