She took my Bruincard ID #...

I was at my friend's rm at Sproul and I accidentally dropped my phone out of the window.
So, I had to go out of the window to the roof. But, someone saw and reported to RA.
She asked me for my Bruincard ID # and I gave it to her.
She told me that I'm gonna have to talk with my resident director.
Does any of you guys know what will happen in this case?
Please let me know. I'm scared. I don't even live at Sproul so I did not even know that I'm not allowed to go out of the window. Besides, my phone dropped so I HAD to pick it up.

Thank you

You probably should have called maintenance and they would have gotten it for you.
Anyways, go to the meeting with the RD and make it abundantly clear that you were just getting your phone. Tell them that you won’t do it again and that you just panicked or something because your phone dropped.

So, should I just wait until they contact me or should I go to RD right now to tell her about my situation?

what could be the worst case? omg… im scared

Worst case:

last user dines at your meal plan’s expense
last user abuses your easypay and the balance is now $0.00

what do u mean last user? are you joking around? or are you being serious?

???^^ lol what?

whatt?! what do you mean what? I mean are you being serious about the worst case

Why are you saying Bruincard ID? Do you mean your Student ID?

Because when you say Bruincard ID you get false notions of insecurity from users like beardy who cannot read carefully and think you gave away your Bruincard.

You’re right, my apologies.

no it’s fine I just want to know if there will be any punishment for what I did.
Btw, she didn’t take any of my card. She only wrotte down my student ID Number.

Oh yeah, because in the other res halls, its totally cool to just hop out of the window onto the roof.

haha… good one - let us know how that excuse goes for you

conf i was refering to the statement above your’s i was confused with beardy’s comment too

ohhhh okok. OMG but what happened to me is so shocking…--wth… does anyone know the circumstances??! Is there a possibility that I will get kicked out? --

Might get kicked out of on-campus housing, not the school.

It would probably be a better idea to go to your RD asap to admit to it rather than confess to it later

Also, if something does go awry, I would make the next couple years hell for the prick that told on you.

As a common floormate, they should have been amused at your roof antics that were not at their expense, not worried about your safety. Thats just being silly.

i doubt i’ll be a big deal at all, they’ll prolly warn you, maybe make you do some community service at the most…

Why? It’s already been reported by the RA. “Admitting it” won’t do anything.

But yeah, the consequences won’t be severe.

so…your phone dropped out of the window and floated to the roof? o__O
