SHIP waiver question?

So I have a question about the Ship waiver, I believe that I have been approved for SHIP [i was too stupid to print screen the results page], but according to memory I was approved and now I’m confused on something.

I think I read that they charge your account for the SHIP fee but then they refund your account the amount that you paid [that is, if you’ve been approved for a SHIP waiver], now I am totally imagining this or is this in fact true?

I like pies.

By default, everyone gets mandatory student health insurance (SHIP). If your parent's have insurance that covers you, then you can file a waiver.

<a href="http://healthcenter.ucdavis.edu/insurance/waiver/index.html%5B/url%5D">http://healthcenter.ucdavis.edu/insurance/waiver/index.html</a></p>

Back when I had SHIP waived, I believed I was charged for it then reimbursed a few days later. Annoying, but it happens.

i like pies as well,

and so it is in fact a reimbursement, but does anyone know when it comes in? does it come AFTER you pay for Ship?

and finally, does the credit back to your account appear on your mybill account?

It should come (hopefully) before you actually have to pay anything. It'll just show a charge and then a credit awhile later, but hopefully before the bill is due. You'll get emails saying you have a bill, etc, but you don't have to pay it until soon before it is due.

If it pops up after you already pay a bill, then you'll have a positive credit, which in turn makes you get a refund check. If you have direct deposit set up then any refund you get automatically goes into your bank account.

If you never get a refund, then you should call & see if they in fact waived your SHIP enrollment, or if they can waive you, etc.
