<p>Mitch basically said it all. I visited VTech when I was doing the college search thing and loved it. This was after 4/16. I would feel safer on their campus at 2AM than I would on my campus right now. Doesn’t hurt that they’re basically surrounded by the countryside while mine is surrounded by urban blight, but still. 4/16 was an anomaly and could have happened on any campus. This incident, while tragic, didn’t really have much to do with the school except that the officer was a VT police officer.</p>
<p>Over 8,000 on the drillfield to show support to Officer Crouse’s family and for their school last night. One student said it best, </p>

<p>Voberaptor, you should also check out VT’s dining halls before calling it a bad school. Hot damn that was the best of all my college visits just cos of the food.</p>
<p>The food is supposed to be 2nd best in the nation! We enjoyed it as well on our recent visit.</p>
<p>BTW - I have no affiliation with VT (yet) went to Cornell and BU myself, but my son applied ED to VT and we are anxiously awaiting the results. Just found the comment on the 4 schools (OSU, PSU, Syr, & VT) offensive and misinformed.</p>
