<p>ok i'm at a 3.4gpa and will complete the honors program [TAP] this fall. Also, i'm taking 21 units and with all A's, i'll have a 3.6-7. my choices are UCLA and USC. the majors i'm thinking of applying under are bio or biochem. </p>
<p>i will have my bio, math, and ochem + IGETC + TAP completed before transfer. but i will not have my physics.</p>
<p>will the majors have better chances of acceptance? should i apply this fall? under what major? [my major of choice is biochem, but i hear i might get a better chance with bio since my gpa is low]. chances of UCLA or USC?</p>
<p>i think you'll get in especially when you are part of the honors program...i applied last year as a biochem major w/ 3.7 (during application) about 3.8 (after spring semester), no TAP, finished all requirements except physics (some) and i got into all the UCs tat i applied to (UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCI)....i also got into USC but i'm currently at berkeley..good luck</p>
<p>look, i think that you should do fine with the GPA that you have. Anyone has a fair chance of getting in at any school if there major is not engineering, computer science or any other tech related major. Typically, engineering majors are usually admitted with an average GPA of 3.8 and most of the admitted have all of their requirements completed. So, to sum it up, you do have a good chance because of your major. It might be impacted, but I am sure it is not as impacted as some engineering majors (i.e. EECS, ME, ChemE).</p>

<p>by the time of application:
-my gpa will be a 3.5 with TAP and IGETC certified.
-bio or biochem major with all under division completed except for physics and biochem.
-alpha gamma sigma
-deans honor roll
-christian club
-15-20 hour/week job
-volunteer work @ pharmacy</p>
