Short Answer Grammar

The University of Maryland College Park has an application section entitled Short Answer, in which applicants must answer a series of ten "complete the sentence" questions, limiting our answers to 20 words or 160 characters.

For example, the first question is:

In addition to my intended major, my academic interests include...

My question is, should I simply continue off that statement, starting off my short answer with:

"mathematics because blah blah blah."

or should I repeat/reword the question:

"I greatly enjoy mathematics because blah blah blah..."

The former option leaves me a little more room to write with, but I'm not sure if it'll present my answer as a bit...illogical or ungrammatical?

It’s nice to come across a question I haven’t seen asked many times over.

Since restating the prompt would significantly cut in to your character count and, seeing that they should be quite familiar with their own prompts, I think you could safely continue off the prompt.

Good luck.

ITS A TRAP!
just kidding
either way is fine Im sure
