Short Answer

I wrote my first draft of my short answer for the common app, but I'm not so sure if it's what they're asking for. It asks to "elaborate" on an activity, my essay basically took one activity and reflected on it, without adding much information. I could just write more about an activity, but it seems like that'd be pretty boring.

For those of you who have written your short answer, was it more adding information about a specific activity or your personal reflections on that activity?

Thanks.

My son wrote about after work he found a purse and how he got it back to it’s owner and she gave him a reward. It really can be about anything. Be different.

Considering how short it is, I’ve heard that you should either tell a specific anecdote that shows the activity and your role in it well or talk more objectively about how the activity has changed you.
